This is the disclaimer that appears in the footer of every page. It is reproduced here in full, at body size, followed by what it means in practice.
Excel Traders Academy provides stock market education only. We are not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser or Research Analyst and do not provide investment advice, stock tips, buy or sell recommendations or portfolio management. Any security names or charts used are for illustration, use price data at least 30 days old, and are not recommendations. Trading in securities, especially derivatives, involves substantial risk of loss; SEBI's study found 9 out of 10 individual F&O traders incurred losses. No returns are promised or guaranteed.
What this means
Education only
We teach how markets work: how an exchange, a broker and a depository fit together, how to read a chart, how to size a position so a loss stays within your limit. We do not tell anyone what to buy or sell, and we do not manage anyone’s money.
No stock tips, no trading calls
Nothing we publish or say in class is a recommendation. If you ever receive a message claiming to be from us with a buy or sell idea, a “sure” trade or a request for payment, it is not from us; please report it to our grievance officer.
Not registered with SEBI as an adviser or analyst
We are an education provider, not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst, and we do not offer advisory or research services. For personal advice, consult a professional registered with SEBI.
Examples are historical and labelled
When a chart or a security name appears in a lesson or a game, it is a historical example chosen to teach a concept. We use price data at least 30 days old and label it as such. The Market Mood Simulator runs on made-up data and says so on screen at all times.
The risk is real
A SEBI study (September 2024) found that 93% of individual equity F&O traders made losses from FY22 to FY24, with combined losses of over ₹1.8 lakh crore. Source: SEBI press release PR 37/2024.
Trading in securities, and in derivatives in particular, can lose you the money you put in. Please learn with that in mind, and never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Nothing is guaranteed
No result, return, income or exam outcome is promised or guaranteed by ETA, its trainers or its material. Anyone who promises you otherwise is not speaking for us.
